Lizzie tries minor league softball!

Lizzie decided she wanted to try softball this spring. She asked about it quite a few times, and so we got her on a team at the last minute for spring little league. She is a minor and is on a team called the mets. She had her first practice last night. The team had already been practicing for a couple of weeks, but Lizzie fit right in. I only watched half of practice because it was freezing out there last night, but she seemed to enjoy herself and has quite a nice swing for her hitting. She had a great opportunity to learn how to swing at a clinic on Saturday with the Dobson High Softball team and coaches. She can't wait for her next practice on Saturday! She is still doing gymnastics, just wanted to try something new!

Markie in Flag Football

Markie played his first season of flag football this Jan/Feb. He had begged for football for a long time, I was hesitant to start him in tackle football, so was thrilled to find a well established co-ed flag football league. He really enjoyed his season, he practiced once a week and had games every Saturday. Markie was sometimes dissapointed he didn't get the ball more, but he did well for his first season. His coach wanted him to move right into another season of it, but with baseball starting, we decided to wait til maybe next winter to try football again. Markie is really enjoying his sports, he is looking forward to some type of basketball camp I hope to find for him this summer, and is planning to play soccer in the fall. Markie likes pretty much any sport we put him in!

Bella, my chocolate milk gal

Bella and I are having a great year home together. I am not doing any organized child care this year, so I only use a sitter when I am working. I have chosen not to do preschool with Bella either, so it is the two of us, every day the older two are in school. Bella is an interesting gal. She really does not eat much, she doesn't ask for much, she is happy just watchin mornin tv, then pulling out toys and board games through out the day and either playing them with me or by herself. The one thing about Bella, is she loves her "chocolate". That is what she calls chocolate milk. She only likes it already premade from the store, she can instantly tell the difference when I am out of chocolate and mix my own out of white milk. So needless to say, I rarely run out of chocolate milk. I really think Bella could live on "chocolate" alone!
